The contenders to reimagine creative Sydney

As part of Sydney’s masterplan to become a creative city, contenders for ‘George St 2020’ have been announced.

Folded into this year’s Sydney Architecture Festival was the announcement of 2016 ULI Global Ideas Competition: George St 2020: Re-imagine Sydney’s main street.

Sydney started its George Street redevelopment this month, which will see the insertion of a light rail network by 2020 and a pedestrian zone running down, arguably, the city’s most iconic street.
